Honda versus Shuanghuan Auto
Accusation: Honda accused Shuanghuan's Laibao SRV of copying its CR-V.

Court: Shijiazhuang Intermediate People's Court, Beijing High People's Court, China.
Claim: 100 million yuan.
Judgement: In March 2006 the China's State Intellectual Property Office made the decision declaring Honda's patent for design invalid, which means that Honda's outer design of the Honda CR-V would not be protected by China's IP laws.
After 13 years, about 2016, the Beijing People's High Court made the decision that the Shijazhuang Shuanghuan Automobile Co. had infringed the design patent of the Honda CR-V. Shuanghuan had to pay 16 million yuan (at that time 2.4 million US $), the claim was 45 million yuan.
